I went shopping online and found a great new website called Miss Selfridge. Lots of pretty things. They do free world wide delivery if you spend over 60 Pound and you can return if you don't like it. Here is 3 I chose and the link in case you want to sneak off for a shop...

Get off of my cloud

I finished my first ever wood project. A hanging Mobile cloud. Im really happy with it. The post belows gives you the steps on how to make your own.

I've started making a cloud and rain mobile to hang in the house. The first step was to draw and cut out the shapes from a plank off wood with an electric jig saw. 

 

Next, Sand with a wood file and then with sand paper to get a smooth finish. Then paint with a translucent white paint that shows through the wood grains. Finally a light sand to rub off any grains of wood that had risen from the paint. With a screw driver make 2 holes at the top and hand screw in 2 loops to hang from. Also add hooks at bottom to hang your rain drops from.

Add fishing line strong enough (to hold the weight) and a ring. This way you can adjust how the cloud sits (level)

Next to add rain drops and hang...

a very special treasure

I've just had my Birthday. 31! Wow. I received a very special Birthday present from my Mr's Mother. We visited her yesterday for Coffee and cake and she came out with a small ceramic bowl of beautiful antique Jewelery. It was Jewelery from my Mr's Gran, Gran, Gran, Grandmother. Its all over 100 years old and was gorgeous. There were 7 pieces and I was allowed to choose one as a present. A beautiful set of golden toned double string Pearls from England, A Silver Cuff bracelet, 2 Art Nouveau brooches, A Pearl bracelet and a beautiful hand painted floral ceramic necklace on a really interesting chain link. Needless to say, I took ages to make my final choice, trying them all on and parading around the room like a lady. In the end I chose an art nouveau Brooch. Its absolutely gorgeous and delicate with an amythest stone set in the center. What a gorgeous present. It will be treasured!

Mystery Holiday

My boyfriend got me a Suprise holiday for my Birthday, we just got back form an amazing 4 days in Sardinia (an Island off Italy). We had a magical 4 days of Swimming, Snorkeling, climbing through amazing limestone caves, looking at ruins from 1500 BC!!, Walking through a sea side Castle and eating, oh the eating. The highlights were: Chilli Muscles, Spaghetti Marinara, ...Cannelloni, White Chocolate Mousse, Picnic of Antipasto on the rocks at the Mediterranean Sea. The Coffe in Italy is as you would imagine, unbelievably good! Great 4 days, very relaxing. Here are a couple of my Favourite pics.
